Ross & District Motor Sports Club
again has pleasure in welcoming
you to the 32nd running of The Kyrle Trial.
The Kyrle will be run this year a few
weeks earlier than in previous
years, we hope to benefit with slightly wetter conditions but are also
praying for a sunny trials day.
Paul Bartleman has once again agreed
to act as Clerk of the Course
and with his experience you are guaranteed some well set out hills.
Unfortunately, due to rising costs, we have had to increase the entry
fee slightly this year. This is the first increase for three years and we
believe we still offer a value for money trial. Sorry to say but there is
no Class O this year, we found our organisation just stretched a little
too far last year so we have decided to concentrate all our resources
on the main trial.
The start is our usual spacious and
well-equipped Whitchurch venue
where fuel, a good café and ample parking is available. At the finish
of the trial our ladies section will, as usual, be providing a meal in our
Club House in Ross-on-Wye. They have been able to maintain their
meal price for another year and of course the bar will be open to help
quench thirsts.
We hope to challenge you with at
least one new hill, but it very much
depends upon Forestry operations. Again we have an award for the
best performance by a car ‘not powered by petrol’. We only had one
entrant last year so come and try your diesel powered car. Tyre
pressures will be imposed on a few sections if its dry and they will be
checked.
Please note the date, Sunday 29th
March and come along to
marshal if you cannot enter. Mark Reeves will be pleased to hear
from you during evenings on 01989 565169.
We look forward to seeing you for a good day’s trialing with around
15 competitive hills and two special tests. Our hills are not rough, but
they are tough.
Paul Bartleman, Stuart Harrold, Neil
Forrest, Mark Reeves
and the Organising Team.
