Well organised and very enjoyable trial. The organisers
work very hard to make this event better and better each year. Some fantastic views.

The organisers say :- |
We are continuing the format of running the trial in two loops,
— as a figure of eight,
with half the trial doing the western loop first, whilst the others do the
eastern loop
first, with a change-over for the afternoon. We didn’t get the timing quite
right last
year, but we are working on it and expect that this year everyone WILL finish
in
daylight.
The 2008 event will be similar, retaining those great sections over the Long
Mynd
(Allez ‘Oop, and Gatten’s Gamble) as well as the favourites of Easthope,
Ippikin’s
Rock, Hungerford, and Jenny Wind and we hope to have two or three new sections
to
stiffen up the western loop.
We hope to offer something that everyone will enjoy regardless of what they
drive,
and with a combination of variable tyre pressures, restarts (not many) and
diversions
the winner might come from any of the classes. I would also remind first
timers about
our novice class 0. This class is open to any vehicle that satisfies the
technical
regulations for any class. It could be the driver who is a novice, or the car!
This year also sees the addition of a class for four wheel drive cars in the
clubsport
event. We do however emphasise the word CAR, we will not be taking entries in
this
class from Freelanders, RAV4s Defenders or other SUVs
For class 0, in addition to MAC members, we have extended invitations to
members of
MCC, VSCC, Morgan Sports Car Club and MG Car Club, so come and have some
fun – and you don’t need a competition licence!
